Everyone has a story to tell, this is ours. The beginnings of N I N E T E E N S T U D I O S is quite simple - a hobby, turned into a passion, turned into a true labor of love. Captivated by our very own love story and intrigued by our personal experience of planning our wedding, a spark caught on fire. A flame of hope and inspiration that allows us to share our talents, by using cinematic and narrative video as our medium, to show and tell the love stories of other couples.
Our specialty is wedding cinematography, or what we would rather be simply referred to as your storytellers. Through technical and artistic decisions mixed with a contemporary style and creativity, our mission is to deliver a story that captures the raw emotions and the genuine vision and moments of your love in a modern way. Through our work of telling love stories, we hope to inspire people to see the beauty of love that still exists around us.
We take to heart each story we have the honor of telling. N I N E T E E N S T U D I O S is committed to your happily ever after.

If I ever wanted to remember how my first visit was to California when I was a little 2-year-old boy, or if I ever wanted to recall a regular Sunday BBQ at the beach with family in the 80s, I would easily be able to relive it. I would just need to play one of the many video footages my father recorded with his tiny (sarcasm) 1980s VHS video camera. I would be able to relive this moment and many other moments in my life, thanks to my father, who always seemed to bring a video camera wherever we went, to document everyday life. This wasn’t a job for my father; this was just him doing it because he loved it.
It was my father’s love for videography that gave me the inspiration to get into videography myself. I would see many moments in my home videos where I would be asking my dad to hold the camera and record. I was so captivated as a young child and that continued to grow as I grew older. From filming a one-episode “reality” show with friends back in college, to filming Coke commercials, to creating a Law & Order skit for my Death Investigation college course, videography became a part of my life.
It wasn’t until 2009 when my love for videography turned into a love for wedding videography. My cousin who was getting married asked me to put together a video to play during their reception, a video telling the story of how he met his soon-to-be wife. To be able to tell their story was what inspired this new passion. I dragged my then girlfriend (now my lovely wife) into my new hobby of wedding videography (which now she equally loves and at times seems likes she loves it more than me) and we started making wedding videos for family and friends.
We moved from Guam to California in 2012 and took a break from wedding videography for personal reasons. It wasn’t until after Joann and I got married in July 2014 when we decided to begin our wedding story telling once again. Our passion never died, it was held closely until it was the right time to let it free again. AND THAT TIME IS NOW.

I’ll be honest. Photography was my first love. Videography, at a certain time, was far too complex for me. It was challenging enough to capture special moments in still photos, what more capturing moments in motion! Little by little, I began to play with the video option in my camera and view the shots I took. It may be a simple concept but it took me awhile to realize that I was still taking photos but now my “photos” were just in motion. Motion changes everything! Adding background music and voice-overs to motion makes ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. As the saying goes, you will never forget your first love. I still love photography; it has introduced me to a whole new world of videography.
When Mark and I got married, videography was one of the most valued vendors on my list. It was actually number two on my list. Of course, my wedding dress was number one! As a bride, I valued videography because it’s a way for us to relive our wedding day over and over and over again.
On weekdays I am a nurse practitioner and on weekends I am a wedding storyteller. I enjoy fashion styling, make-up, running, reading, chillin’ by the beach, interior decorating, coffee shop hunting and I enjoy being a wife.
